Bachelor of Science Degree (Police Science) |
|
|
The duration of this degree shall be two years. Classes shall be conducted every Saturday. The qualifications necessary to be admitted for this course shall be as follows: |
|
|
a. |
Higher Diploma on Police Science and active service of three years following the Diploma, or |
|
|
b. |
Three years’ active service as a Gazetted Officer and having been confirmed in the post. |
|
|
c. |
Being not more than 54 years of age. |
|

2. |
Advanced Diploma on Police Science: |
|
| |
The duration of this course shall be one year. Classes shall be conducted every Saturday. The qualifications necessary to be admitted for this course shall be as follows: |
|

a |
Diploma on Police Science and having been confirmed in the post, or |
|
| |
b |
Diploma on Criminology and Criminal Justice, or |
|
| |
c |
Certificate Course on Police Science with 08 years’ active service and having been confirmed in the post; or 05 years of active service in the rank of Inspector of Police and having been confirmed in the post; or 08 years of active service as Police Constable/06 years of active service as Police Sergeant or Sergeant Major and having been confirmed in the post. |

| 3. |
Diploma on Police Science: |
|
| |
This course shall be conducted by the Police Academy and its affiliated institutes as a nine-month course for apprentice Sub Inspectors of Police with a curriculum approved by the Police Academy and under its supervision. |

| 4. |
Certificate Course on Police Science: |
|
| |
This course shall be conducted by the Police Academy and its affiliated institutes as a six-month course for apprentice Police Constables/Women Police Constables with a curriculum approved by the Police Academy and under its supervision. |
