stfOn 12.02.2012, on receipt of an information, STF camp of Deniyaya had arrested a suspect with illegal no.12 shotgun and ammunitions in his custody at Hansad Watta in Deniyaya area and produced to Deniyaya Police Station.

mataraS/DIG Lalith A.Jayasinghe challenge trophy cricket tournament was held at the Uyanwatta ground in Matara on 12th February 2012.Six teams who had shown talent among police stations with in the division took part in this event.

On 05.02.2012 eleven tractors and 23 suspects were arrested by STF, Mankulam camp whilst collecting sand illegally at Kanagarayankulam Aruwa area.  

 
H.E. the President Visits Deyata Kirula Police Stall PDF Print E-mail

H.E. the President Mahinda Rajapaksa made a visit to Police Department Stall on the second day of the Deyata Kirula Exhibition which was inaugurated on 4th February 2012, at Oyamaduwa in Anuradhapura. The President was accompanied by the Inspector General of Police Mr. N.K. Illangakoon throughout his tour at the premises. A variety of departments comprised in the stall were closely observed by the President.

A rehearsal to face the disaster and step to manage it and how to put up temporary houses in emergency were held by Police officers, army officers and the officers of the Management Disaster at Matara Division.
