To obtain extract of complaint made by a complaint, he should make an application in the following format. This application should be hand over to the OIC's office of the Police Station. For each extract the applicant has to pay Rs.25.00 and obtain an official receipt for the payment and a Rs.10.00 stamp for each extract should be handed over to the OIC's office.

In civil cases the extracts can be issued. The extract, which a complainant is entitled in a criminal suit is mentioned in the Criminal Procedure Code Section 444(1).
