Public now have the opportunity to get the status of their clearance reports thanks to a new SMS service created by the Information Technology Division in collaboration with the Information &Communication Technology Agency (ICTA). This service has been provided in addition to the link included the police web site to check the status of a clearance report. The inauguration ceremony was held at the IG’s conference hall Police Headquarters on 03rd September 2011 with the participation of Inspector General of Police Mr. N.K. Illangakoon and Director & Legal Advisor ICTA MR. Jayantha Fernando. Addressing the gathering, IGP Pointed out that public can utilize this service for their convenience. 

SDIG Administration Mr. Gamini Navaratne along with Senior Police Officers and members representing ICTA, were also present for the event.
