Sri Lankan Hockey team won the bronze medal at the 4th Asian Hockey Championship which was concluded in Bangkok on 24th April 2012.This is a remarkable moment as this achievement has been gained by the SL team after a period of ten years. Police Department possesses the glory for having two of their players included in the National Team, P.G Jayarathne and Sandaruwan Priyalanka. Jayarathne has been on the National team from 2005 and it’s the maiden for Priyalanka. About twelve countries participated for the event and among them included the potent Hongkong, Kazakasthan, and Chinese Taipei teams.
