The Police public relation unit warned the public to be vigilant about fraudsters who deceive people over telephone and via SMS asking people to deposit money to receive a prize of a raffle draw they have won.  The PPR Unit also reported that certain phone companies and other private firms reward people with attractive cash prizes after a raffle draw as part of their business promotions and certain individuals take advantage of these instances and deceive people by contacting them via phone or SMS and request them to deposit money by giving them account numbers to receive their prizes.
