The Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee (MPC), on behalf of the Police Department will receive sealed bids in respect of supply of Motor Cycles for the Sri Lanka Police Department and receiving will be closed at 1400 hrs. on 07.12.2011.

Bidding documents can be inspected free of charge at the Procurement Branch, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, No. 15/5, Baladaksha Mawatha, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka.

Bidding documents can be purchased during working hours from the Chief Accountant, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, 15/5, Baladaksha Mawatha, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka by paying of a non - refundable document fee of Rs. Two Thousand Five Hundred (Rs. 2,500.00) for each bid to the Chief Accountant, Police Headquarter, Colombo 01. However, manufacturers / suppliers who do not possess the registration with the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development for 2011 under respective item category have to make an additional non - refundable tender fee of Rupees Five Thousand (5,000.00) for each bid to Chief Accountant, Sri Lanka Police Headquarters, in addition to the above non - refundable document fee of Rs. Two Thousand Five Hundred (Rs. 2,500.00). The bidding documents will be sold until 1400 hrs. on 05.12.2011 (Prior notice to be made regarding the representatives before arriving to collect the bidding documents).

Sealed Bids may be dispatched either by Registered Post or hand delivered and deposited in the Sealed Tender Box at the office of the Chief Accountant at the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, to be received before 1400 hrs. on 07.12.2011.

Bids will be opened immediately after the closing at 1400 hrs. on 07.12.2011 at the Procurement Branch, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, No. 15/5 Baladaksha Mawatha, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka. Bidders or their authorized representatives are requested to be present at the opening of bids.
