On 18.11.2011, a special awareness programme was conducted for the OICC of SOCO Units including their senior officers by the SOCO Unit of Criminal Records Division with headed by Mr. Larsberg of Swedish who is contributed to establish the Scene of Crime Operatives project and participation with 80 Police officers.

17-11-2011_batticoloaOn 17.11.2011 Shiwananda Youth Society had organized a blood donation campaign for commemoration of  the President's 66th  Birthday at the premises of Sivananda National School at Kattankudi Police area. The blood is doneted voluntarily by the personnel of Kattankudi Police and the civilians of the area.

On 21.11.2011 on information provided by the police officers of Unachchiya police post, A police party attached to Aittamalaya police station had recovered  14  T81 assault rifles in a search operation, which had been hidden in Aittamalaya police area at near to Unnachchiya wewe  jungle area.

Police organizes a Pirith chanting ceremony

An all night pirith chanting ceremony was held on 19th November 2011, and was followed by alms-giving for Buddhist monks on the following day, at the Sri Jayasumanarama Temple in Trincomalee in light of invoking blessings on His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksha and the motherland. This event was carried out by the directions of Mr. Ravi Waidyalankara, Deputy Inspector General of Police / Trincomalee, in collaboration with SP Trincomalee, SP Kantale & other Police Officers in the area. A large number of crowd including Tri forces officers, government officials and residents were partaken in this occasion.
