A woman who was engaged in the distribution of drugs with the leading drug dealers was taken into custody with heroin worth more than 10 lakhs, mobile phones, spoons for measuring drugs and Rs. 850.00 by the Officers of the Crimes Branch of Dehiwala Police on 11th June, 2013.

A 38 year-old suspect residing at Maguldamana who had been cheating people by promising that he would offer one hundred thousand rupees for anyone who was willing to give Rs 25,000.00 has been taken into custody by the Aralaganwila Police. The fraudster was produced before the Magistrate Court, Polonnaruwa on 5th June, 2013 and has been remanded for 14 days.
