The shooter was arrested while fleeing with the firearm

This morning, 19-01-2025, a 24-year-old person was shot to death by two motorcyclists at Siripala Mawatha, Mount Lavinia.

Shortly after the shooting, the shooter out of the two suspects along with the 9mm firearm that has been used for the shooting was arrested by the police officers who were on duty in Kaudawa area of Dehiwala.

During the attempt to inspect the motorcycle, the motorcyclist drove the motorbike continuously. The Police chased the motor bike and managed to stop it, and then the suspect attempted to shoot towards the officer .The suspect was subdued and arrested by the suspect.
