An attempt to transport Kerala Ganja was thwarted and arrested 05 kg of Kerala Ganja along with two suspects by the Organized Crime Prevention Unit of Police Special Tasks Force

Two individuals who were traveling by a three-wheeler in possession of two parcels containing Kerala Ganja have been arrested during a raid carried out on 19.01.2025 afternoon in the Wellampitiya Police area by the officers of the Organized Crime Prevention Unit of the Police Special Tasks Force and produced to the Police Station Wellampitiya.
During the weighing, it was disclosed that the amount of Kerala Ganja arrested was 05 kg and 45 mg weight, and the two suspects, who are 31 and 33 years old, were identified as residents of the Wellampitiya area.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Wellampitiya Police Station in this regard.
