A person who assisted by phone in the shooting on Nagalagam Street was arrested

Two injured persons were hospitalised after getting shot at by two persons who arrived on a motorcycle in front of a motorcycle spare parts shop on the Nagalagam Street of the Grandpass Police Area, around 09.40 p.m. on 17.03.2025.

On 23.03.2025, the officers of the Grandpass Police Station, who are investigating the crime, have arrested a person, along with two mobile phones, who had contacted the two injured persons by phone and called them to the place where the crime was committed.

The suspect is a 31-year-old resident of the Grandpass area.

Three suspects and a female suspect have so far been arrested for aiding and abetting this crime by the investigation officers.

The Grandpass Police Station is conducting further investigations in this regard.
