35 grams of heroin, 115 grams of ice drug arrested

Officers of the Nikaweratiya Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau conducted a raid in the Katagamuwa Road area of Nikaweratiya on the evening of 30.03.2025 and arrested a suspect who was in possession of 65 grams of ice drug (Crystal meth) and 35 grams of heroin along with 02 mobile phones and Rs. 114000/= suspected to have been earned from drug trafficking.

The suspect, aged 39, a resident of Nikaweratiya, Elawaka area, has been handed over to the Nikaweratiya Police Station for further investigations.

Similarly, officers of the Anuradhapura Police Station conducted a raid in the Shravasthipura area of Anuradhapura on the evening of 30.03.2025 and arrested a suspect who was in possession of 55 grams of ice drug.

The suspect is a 33-year-old resident of Meegahatenna area.

The Anuradhapura Police Station is conducting further investigations regarding the suspect.
