The Colombo-Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road are scheduled to be closed on several occasions from 06.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. on 04.04.2025.

During that period, drivers arriving towards the Katunayake International Airport using the Expressway and drivers using the Baseline Road are informed to plan their travel taking the road closures into consideration.

Furthermore, the roads in the areas of Galle Face, Independence Square, and Battaramulla ‘Apegama’ precincts are also scheduled to be closed on several occasions on 05.04.2025.

During this period, traffic officers have been instructed to direct drivers to alternative routes to minimize traffic congestion and inconvenience caused to drivers.

The general public are kindly requested to extend the support necessary for this special traffic plan being implemented by the Sri Lanka Police with regard to Hon. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka.
