A 27-year-old individual was arrested for keeping 13 kg and 372 g of heroin and 3 kg and 580 g of ice in a house in the Kotikawatta area.

A 27-year-old individual was arrested for keeping in possession of 13 kg and 372 g of heroin and 3 kg and 580 g of ice in a house in the Kotikawatta area of Wellampitiya on 26.04.2025 by the police officers in Malambe Police Station.

The raid was conducted upon a piece of information disclosed and the suspect has been identified as a resident of Korathota in Kaduwela area.

Further investigations have been initiated by the Wellampitiya Police Station to disclose information regarding the suspect and the drug trafficking network connected to him.
