A person who provided accommodation to two people who came for the shooting incident at Meetiyagoda on 03.05.2025 has been arrested

A suspect who provided accommodation to two suspects on the previous and following days of 03.05.2025, on which the shooting took place, at Meetiyagoda killing two people, has been taken into custody by the Special Operations Unit Southern Province of the Police Special Task Force on 06.05.2025 at Weragoda, Meetiyagoda and produced to the Meetiyagoda Police Station. 

The suspect is a 46-year-old resident of the Weragama area.

The Meetiyagoda Police Station is conducting further investigations into the suspect.
