A special programme by the Traffic Headquarters to promote the health of police officers.

Police officers, who are performing onerous and responsible duties, including traffic police officers performing duties constantly on the road, spend a very limited period of time for their healthiness.

The Colombo Traffic Headquarters, after paying attention to this matter, held a health camp for checking the eyes and hearts of police officers on 26.05.2025 at 08.30 am at the Tripoli Building, Maradana, under the patronage of the Acting Inspector General of Police Mr Priyantha Weerasooriya.

Under the guidance and participation of senior officers, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Traffic and Road Safety, Indika Hapugoda, and the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Traffic Division, Manoj Ranagala, a significant number of police officers participated in this camp, which was successfully held throughout the day, and underwent examinations of their eyes and hearts.
