Police Special Task Force arrested a man with prohibited weapons

Officers of the Kelaniya camp of the Police Special Task Force have arrested a 35-year-old individual in possession of prohibited weapons at the Thorana Junction, Peliyagoda area, on the evening of 01.06.2025.

The suspect is a resident of the Wedamulla area, and the weapons seized by the police include 03 swords, 10 prohibited knives, a hatchet, 02 spears and a blunt weapon with a spring used for assault.

The Peliyagoda Police Station is conducting further investigations into the suspect.
