ரூபாய் 5 இலட்சம் பெறுமதியான நன்கொடை கொக்கல்ல மகா வித்தியாலயத்திற்கு

The Library Association of Sri Lanka Police visited Koggalla Maha Vidyalaya in the Ambalantota Police area of the Tangalle Police Division on 04.07.2025 to fulfill the needs of its library.

Every police officer currently in service contributes a small portion of their salary each month to the Library Association. From these contributions, funds are allocated to enhance library facilities at all police divisions across the island and to support various charitable initiatives.

This charitable activity, organized under the coordination of the Police Sergeant Jeevan Sampath of the Executive Committee of the Library Association, was successfully carried out with the intervention of the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Tangalle Division, Mr. Upula Seneviratne. Accordingly, a donation of books, stationery, and educational materials valued at over 500000 rupees was made to Koggalla Maha Vidyalaya.

Superintendent of Police, Mr. Jayatissa, the Vice President of the Library Association, the Executive Members of the Library Association, the Officer in Charge of the Ambalantota Police Station and other officers participated in this event.

Along with this, the Prefects Investiture Ceremony was also held, and the keynote speech of the occasion was made by the Sub Inspector of Police, Mr. Abeysinghe of the Police Media Division, who is known as an eloquent speaker and announcer.
