IGP visits Ratnapura with gifts for school children of Sabaragamuwa Province

The program for giving away school supplies to the children of police officers in the Sabaragamuwa province was held on the evening of 19.07.2025 at the Main Auditorium of District Secretariat Ratnapura under the patronage of the Acting Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Priyantha Weerasooriya.

The Inspector General of Police symbolically distributed school supplies to 34 children and explained the future programs implemented for the welfare of the officers while appreciating the service of every police officer who is committed to maintaining order in the Island by serving throughout the 24 hours of the day. 

Many officers of the province, including Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Sabaragamuwa Province, Mr. Mahinda Gunarathna, Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge Ratnapura Range, Mr. Manjula Mahagirilla, and Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Ratnapura Division, Mr. Kapila Premadasa participated in this ceremony.
