A meeting to discuss the progress of the law and order process

A meeting was held at Sansa Hall on the 29.08.2025, to review the progress of the law and order maintenance program implemented in the Matara and Tangalle Police Divisions with the aim of suppressing all illegal activities including organized crimes reported in those provinces.

The meeting was chaired by the Hon. Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Ananda Wijepala, and was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry, retired Senior DIG Mr. Ravi Seneviratne, and the Acting IGP, Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Priyantha Weerasuriya, as well as senior officers in charge of the province.

Moreover, discussions were held on issues arising in the performance of duties and on improving the welfare of officers.
