Two More Suspects Arrested in Connection with the Murder Reported from the Hekittha Area on 19.07.2025

The Kelaniya Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau, which investigated the homicide committed by four unidentified persons having arrived in a three-wheeler and slashing a person in a two-storey house in the Hekittha area of the Wattala Police Area on the night of 19.07.2025, arrested a suspect involved in the crime on 04.08.2025 along with 04 swords used in committing the crime, and presented him to the Wattala Police Station.

Based on the information revealed by the suspect, two more suspects involved in the said crime and one suspect in connection with aiding and abetting a homicide in the Wattala area were arrested in the Modara area on the afternoon of 05.08.2025, along with two mobile phones used in the crime, and were presented to the Wattala Police Station.

The suspects, who are 17, 25, and 27 years old, are residents of the Colombo 15 and Wattala areas.

The Kelaniya Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau is conducting further investigations into the suspects and the above offences.
