Suspect arrested with a number of firearms including a T-56 firearm

During the search conducted by the officers of the Minuwangoda Police Station on 15 – 08 – 2025, a number of firearms and ammunition have been uncovered from a house near the Minuwangoda Hospital. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.

It has been revealed during the preliminary investigations that the 45-year-old suspect has been employed at Security Unit of the Katunayake International Airport. He is a resident of Minuwangoda area.
