IGP calls on Defence Secretary.

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Priyantha Weerasooriya, paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal H. S. Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), on the morning of 25. 08. 2025, at the Ministry of Defence.

This is the first official meeting between the Inspector General of Police and the Defense Secretary after assuming the office of Inspector General of Police.

The Inspector General of Police presented a commemorative plaque to the Defence Secretary, marking the occasion, and the Defence Secretary extended his greeting to the Inspector General of Police.
