Two Police officers secures top places in the 2025 Mr. Universe Championship

Police Sergeant 12190 Officer K. D. Mayadunna and Police Constable 89528 Officer G. D. Wanigasekera, who participated in the 2025 Mr. Universe Championship held in Thailand on 23rd and 24th August 2025, have been able to secure a number of top places including first places.

First place in the 40-49 age category, first place in the Master Overall competition, first place in the 70kg – 80kg category competition, third place in the Bodybuilding Overall competition are the places secured by Officer Mayadunna.

First place in the physique category over 40 years, up to and including 173cm, second place in the Fit Modal category, and the third place in the open category, up to and including 173cm are the places secured by Police Sergeant 89528 Officer G. D. Wanigasekera.

P.S. 12190 Officer K. D. Mayadunna clinching the Pro Card, which is awarded to the best contestant in the Master category, is one of the most notable moments of the event. 

More than 150 contestants representing many countries have participated in this championship organized by the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation.
