The residents of Kuttigala have stepped forward to assist the flood-affected communities in Badulla and Mahiyanganaya.

A large quantity of essential goods including medicines, dry food items, etc. collected for the people affected by the floods and landslides with the help of Kuttigala Police Officers, Public Safety Committee members and local residents were handed over to the goods collection center established at the Embilipitiya Municipal Council on 01.12.2025.

Embilipitiya Divisional Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Thusitha Kumara and Embilipitiya District 1 Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr. A.S. Priyantha participated in this and Kuttigala Police OIC Inspector of Police Mr. Chamara Rajapaksa took the initiative for this good deed.
