Police Media Division Wins Best Public Communication Award at People’s Excellency Awards 2025

The People’s Excellency Awards 2025, organized by Iconic Award, a recognized private institution renowned for its standardized evaluation framework in Sri Lanka, was held in a grand ceremony on the evening of 29 December 2025 at the Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla. The event honored outstanding public and private sector institutions for their exceptional contributions during the year.

At the prestigious ceremony, the Police Media Division was conferred with the Best Public Communication Award, in recognition of its excellence in maintaining transparent, timely, and effective communication with the public.

The award was officially received by the Police Media Spokesperson and Director of the Police Media Division, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr. F. U. Wootler, at the event.

The Police Media Division expressed its sincere appreciation to the public and stakeholders who continuously support its mission by engaging with the official social media platforms of the Sri Lanka Police. Their trust, cooperation, and active participation through receiving, sharing, and responding to accurate information and public awareness messages have played a vital role in elevating the Division to a leading position in the national media landscape.
