Vietnam People’s Police Academy and National Police Training Institute Sign Landmark MOU to Elevate Sri Lanka Police Professional Standards to International Levels

A special Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the People’s Police Academy of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the National Police Training Institute of Sri Lanka in conjunction with the bilateral cooperation agreement on public security signed between Vietnam and Sri Lanka at Police Headquarters on 8 May 2026.

The MoU is intended to further strengthen the policing capabilities of both countries through future collaboration in professional police education and training, academic and scientific research, and the exchange of international expertise and best practices.

The agreement was signed by Lieutenant General Mr.Tran Minh Huong on behalf of the People’s Police Academy, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Manjula Mahagirilla on behalf of the National Police Training Institute of Sri Lanka.

This strategic partnership represents a significant milestone in advancing the international engagement, research capacity, and professional standards of the Sri Lanka Police, further aligning its capabilities with internationally recognized benchmarks.
