In line with the Clean Sri Lanka National Program, another significant workshop organized by the Traffic and Road Safety Directorate of the Sri Lanka Police took place on the morning of 26.05.2026 under the patronage of the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo.
During the programme, the Secretary to the President, together with the Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law Mr. Priyantha Weerasooriya, and the Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Traffic Control and Road Safety Directorate, Mr. W. P. J. Senadheera, educated the students and teachers of Devi Balika Vidyalaya on the objectives of the Clean Sri Lanka National Program and the importance of road safety awareness.
Under the supervision of the Officer-in-Charge of the Traffic Headquarters, Chief Inspector Mr. Rajapaksa, informative lectures were delivered by Inspector Mr. Raveen Sumanaratne, Officer-in-Charge of the Education Division of Traffic Headquarters, and the Officer-in-Charge of the Statistics Division in Tamil.
As part of the program, Mr. Dayal Kariyawasam, Sub-Inspector attached to the Education Division and Driving School of Traffic Headquarters, conducted an impressive road safety demonstration. Through practical activities and interactive sessions, he explained safe road practices and methods of responsible road usage, bringing the workshop to a successful conclusion.
