Let’s Keep the Environment Clean – Let’s Stop the Spread of Dengue

With the rapid increase in reported dengue cases across the Western Province, the Community Policing and Environmental Protection Division of the Sri Lanka Police has further intensified its environmental sanitation drives and public awareness initiatives, in line with directives issued by the Inspector General of Police.

As part of this ongoing programme, a special phase was conducted on the morning of 20.06.2026 at the Anderson Police House, under the guidance of the Director of the Environmental Protection Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Manoj Perera.

Police officers representing police stations from the Colombo North, Colombo South, and Colombo Central Police Divisions actively participated in this Shramadana campaign and awareness programme, joining hands in efforts to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and promote public health awareness.
