New Bakery at Police Sports Division Canteen Complex Inaugurated

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare and well-being of police officers serving in the Sri Lanka Police, the Police Seva Vanitha Unit inaugurated a newly constructed bakery at the Sports Division Canteen Complex at the Police Field Force Headquarters on 25 August 2026.

The Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law Priyantha Weerasooriya, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by the Chairperson of the Police Seva Vanitha Unit, Attorney-at-Law Nilmini Neeta Samaratunga; Senior DIG (Administration) Sanjeewa Dharmaratne; Senior DIG (Western Province) Sajeewa Medawatte; Chairman of Akbal (Pvt) Ltd., Imran Akbal; Tiam Akbal; and several other distinguished guests.
