To create a virtuous and effective leader

With the main objective of eradicating narcotics from schools, a three-day Leadership Training Workshop for 88 school prefects was held at Topawewa National College, Polonnaruwa, from 28.10.2024. On 30.10.2024 under the guidance of Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Sajeewa Medawatta and under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Police Cadet Range – Mr. S. M. Y Senevirathne and Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. Chinthaka Gunarathna – Director of Police Cadet Division.
This workshop consisted of various lectures by police cadet instructors. The program consisted of various lectures and activities on leadership training, physical exercises, lectures on prevention of narcotics, knowledge on giving first aid, table manners and road rules. For the entertainment of the students, a musical performance was held and a bonfire marked the end of this program.
To carry out this program successfully, it received the cooperation of the Deputy Principal of Topawewa National College, Polonnaruwa, its teachers, Officer in Charge of Boralanda Police Cadet Training Center and many other officers.
