The properly constructed swimming pool of the Aralaganwila Police College is declared open

The swimming pool of the Aralaganwila Police College, which was renovated in an attractive manner, was declared open on the morning of 06.12.2024 under the leadership of the Director of the Police College Division, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. J. A. Chandrasena, with the participation of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ruchira Karunanayaka.
Since it is mandatory for a recruit police officer to appear for and pass a swimming test to get confirmed in the service in Sri Lanka Police, the availability of such swimming pools provides great opportunity for those who are unable to swim when joining the police service, so that they can acquire the skill during the basic training period.
The Officer in Charge and staff of the College, under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. K. D. Chandrapala, Deputy Director of the Aralaganwila Police College, offered their labour with great dedication to renovate this swimming pool, which was essential element for the college, at a minimum cost while maintaining its quality.
