A New Children and Women’s Bureau for Mihintale

Marking another phase in the establishment of Children and Women’s Bureaus covering all parts of the island for offering services to the children and women, a new Children and Women’s Bureau was established at the Mihintale Police Station in the Anuradhapura Division under the supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Anuradhapura Division, Mr. Thilina Hewapathirana.

On 07.03.2025, the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the North Central Province, Attorney-at-law, Mr. Buddhika Siriwardhana, declared this new Children and Women’s Bureau open. Many officers including the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the North Central Range, the Assistant Superintendent of Police – Anuradhapura and the Officer in Charge of Police Station Mihintale, participated in this inauguration ceremony.
