During a raid conducted by the officers of the Kiribathgoda Police Station 21.07.2025, a suspect who was traveling in a three-wheeler while keeping possession of a T-56 firearm was arrested. Based on the information revealed by the suspect, officers of the Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau – Vavuniya arrested another suspect with hand grenades. Further investigation has been conducted, having taken the suspects into the custody of the Counter-Terrorism and Investigation Division. During the investigation, information on another suspect who keeps possession of hand grenades, and two more suspects who are involved in such activities, has been uncovered.
