Initial interviews for Applicants to join the Police service

Applications were invited from the dynamic youth of the country for recruitment to the positions of Apprentice Police Constable, Apprentice Women Police Constable, Police Constable Driver of the Sri Lanka Police, and the Police Special Task Force, as per Government Gazette No. 2482 issued on 27.03.2026.

Accordingly, a number of candidates who promptly submitted their applications via the Join Us – SRI LANKA POLICE were summoned to the Colombo Police Field Force Headquarters on the morning of 07.04.2026. They were screened to assess their physical fitness for the respective roles and to verify whether they met the minimum educational qualifications.

The Police Recruitment Division is expected to issue call letters to shortlisted candidates for the second round of interviews in due course.

As a substantial number of applications are being received through the website, all eligible applicants will be contacted. The initial interview process will be conducted in multiple phases; therefore, candidates are requested to await notification regarding their applications.
