Following a piece of information received by the Officers of the Special Branch Kandy, the Terrorist Investigation Unit - Central Province has taken two suspects into custody while printing counterfeit currency notes in a house at Medagammedda, Kahalla in the Katugastota Police Area. Even a month before their arrest, these two suspects had printed 30 Rs. 1000.00 counterfeit notes and had been on a trip with their friends.
A suspect in connection with a leading narcotics racketeering business was taken into custody along with the three-wheeler. The arrest has been made based on a tip-off received by the OIC Division Crimes Mt. Lavinia on 10th June, 2013.
A woman who was engaged in the distribution of drugs with the leading drug dealers was taken into custody with heroin worth more than 10 lakhs, mobile phones, spoons for measuring drugs and Rs. 850.00 by the Officers of the Crimes Branch of Dehiwala Police on 11th June, 2013.
Acting on a tip-off, Kohuwala police on 7 th of June 2013 arrested a criminal wanted in connection with a number of burglaries in Kohuwala ,Dehiwala and Kalubowila.
