2013/14.03.2013Three men were arrested with 13.425 kg (Valued at Rs.604, 125.00) of ganja when the Special Task Force (STF) carried out a raid in Pulmude Police area at Bogas Handiya .

OIC Division Crime Detection Bureau (DCDB) Negombo IP Mr. Gunathilaka and a team of Police officers were able to arrest a suspect at Negombo who had stolen some jewellery worth 5 lacks and electronic items such as 3 Laptops, a number of mobile phones, digital cameras and some musical instruments.

 
Donation of Stationery to School Children with Financial Difficulties at Kotahena E-mail

nortable_services/2013Stationeries and other items including schoolbags, shoes, water bottles, etc. were donated to 67 school children with financial difficulties from 3 schools in the area by the Community Police Unit, Kotahene under the leadership of Chief Inspector Mr. Hemantha Ovitigama OIC, Police Station – Kotahena. This function was held at Deepaduththaraama Temple, Kotahena.
